Summary: Nurses have to maintain their capability in delivering quality professional service and adhere to the highest ethical standards in the practice of their profession. The researcher believes that all these can only be attained through continuous upgrading of learned skills and seeking new trends in relation to their practice because what might have been adequate preparation for their practice of nursing years ago is not sufficient for today's needs. The rapid changes in the delivery of health care and the public demand for more extend and improved health care have made continuous education in nursing an obligation of every practicing nurse.
