Summary: The results of achievement test administered to student have led to frenzied search for an effective educational vehicle for improving the teaching-learning situation in the school. Much of the development involve developing personal and professional attitudes and skills of teachers befitting an effective mentor. It is but proper that persons who are planning to enter the teaching profession be informed of the demands of the vocation. The results of the present research work will offer prospective teachers and even those who all already in the service with valuable information concerning the personality traits and classroom management practices that they should develop in order to perform effectively the duties and responsibilities attendant to the exercise of the teaching profession.
