The St. Lucie Press Series on Total Quality originated when it was recognized that the rapidly expanding field of Total Quality Management was neither well defined nor well focused. This realization, coupled with the current hunger for specific, how-to examples, led to the formulation of a plan to publish a series of subject-specific books on total quality, a new direction for books in the field to follow.
