Summary: The study examined the implementation of school-based management system in schools. It sought to find out how decentralization has benefited the schools by assigning two major responsibilities, namely, instructional leadership and administrative management, and by delegating more decision-making authority, to the school head. Properly implemented, school-based management system results to the better performance of learners and teachers.
