Summary, etc. Medical technology has been practiced in the Philippines for several decades now. It was first introduced in the country on the heels of World War II. This textbook entitled Introduction to Medical Technology Practice in the Philippine Setting is designed to orient first-year medical technology students on the basics of clinical laboratory science practice in the Philippines. The impact of science, technology, and society on the health profession is also emphasized. Topics in this textbook are presented in a modularapproach to fit the students' level of comprehension.
