520 _aThis volume is a but a part of a longer memoir which I have tentatively entitled, A journey of struggle and hope. The whole memoir takes up my years of blissful innocence and adulthood, including a chronicle of some aspects of Philippine society and politics before the outbreak of the war on December 18, 1941, my incarceration during the Japanese occupation, my release from prison and involvement in some gripping events during the last two years of the war, return of the Americans, my studies abroad and my life as a law teacher and Practioner.
