520 | _aThe Building Regulations 1991, like their 1985 predecessors, are a complicated package. Although no longer drafted in parliamentary language, the Regulations and the Approved Documents that accompany them are not readily understandable. The aim of this Guide to simplify and explain them, often by use of illustrations instead of elaborate text. Some of the diagrams from the Approved Documents have been included, but many have been amended to give more realistic guidance, while others have been added to replace text wherever possible. Complicated tables have been simplified and in some cases replaced by graphs. This edition reflects the changes to the Regulations effective from June 1992 as well as those from April 1990, which taken together have extensively altered the 1985 Regulations. No practitioner or student needing to understand and apply the 1991 Building Regulations can afford to be without this standard desktop reference-- Book Cover | ||
