Management is in crisis; the free enterprise system is in crisis- not because it has failed or been found wanting in basic values and contributions, but largely because of external factors stemming from social and political wants and needs. The forces at work within our political and social system are such that basic values built into our structure many years ago are being twisted and subverted to the point where we face not only the loss of our form of society, but our rights and freedoms as individuals. Basic social and welfare needs for those who cannot care for themselves have now ballooned into rights for all, regardless of real need or ability to make a contribution. The political philosophy
