This reference text consists of selected topics on differential equations which the authors find to have relevance to engineering problem. Chapters One to Ten cover the solution and application of ordinary first-ordered differential equations including some special cases of the second-ordered equations including ducible to the first order. From Chapter Eleven to Chapter Fourteen, higher-ordered linear differential equations with constant coefficients are treated. A special type of linear equation with variable coefficients, the Euler's equation, is discussed in Chapter Thirteen together with the solution of systems of linear differential equations. Chapter Fifteen deals with the hyperbolic functions and their applications in the solution of some important physical problems especially those which are related to the works of the engineer. In Chapter Sixteen, two advanced topics on differential equations are discussed. - - Preface
