The Law on Obligations and Contracts are contained in Volume IV of the Civil Code of the Philippines, from Article 1156 up to Article 1430. This topic, however, was made part of Commercial Law for business students. Such being the case, the authors of this book wish to share their knowledge on the subject matter to help business students understand the legal provisions or articles of the law by giving comments, opinions of persons who are well versed in Civil Law, examples and illustrative cases, to make it easier for them to understand the situation.
