Summary: This study was limited to the assessment of the Science Program for Grade Five in the Tayabas West District, Division of Quezon during the school year 2005 - 2006. The assessment covered the qualifications of the Science teachers involved the extent of effectiveness of the grade five teachers in the teaching of Science and also the level of the grade five pupil's performance in Science in the achievement test. Furthermore, this research also determined some problems that were encountered by both the school administrators and the teachers in the teaching of Science.
