Part One. Management and Systems -- Part Two. The Linking Processes -- Part Three. Planning -- Part Four. Organizing -- Part Five. Staffing -- Part Six. Influencing -- Part Seven. Controlling.
Systems, processes, and functions as applied to management in the modern organization. This is the essence of the authors' approach to teaching an introductory or general management course. Although it is based on Theo Haimann's Professional Management, this new book is clearly different and unique. We have pooled our individual ideas and resources in an attempt to integrate the older, more traditional functional approach to management with newer contributions from systems theory and the behavioral sciences.
