Maria Clara -- Sisa -- Juli -- Dona Victorina -- Dona Consolacion -- Paulita -- Aunt Isabel -- The Tertiary sisters -- Pepay -- Dona Pia -- The Girl-friends of Maria Clara -- The Capitanas -- Cabesang Andang -- Dona Patrocinio --
Of all the women characters in Rizal's novels, Maria Clara and Dona Victorina have probably called the greatest attention. Maria Clara has been written on again and again, while Dona Victorina continues to be a by-word, in written or oral comments, when the observer wants to ridicule Filipino imitators of foreign ways.
