Since the original edition, Remodeling Guide for home interiors, was prepared by the late J. Ralph Dalzell, numerous changes in homebuilding and remodeling practices have occurred. Consequently, extensive changes were required for the second edition, and much new material had to be added, while obsolete text and illustrations had to be deleted.
