In 1971, Dr. Salvador Araneta presented his Bayanikasan Constitution for the Federal Republic of the Philippines to the 1971-1972 Constitutional Convention. It was his draft constitution that contained proposals for anew wave of thinking and doing politics that also touched on social values and economics. AS a delegate of that Constitutional Convention (he was also a member of the 1934-1935 Constitutional Convention), Dr. Araneta came prepared to bring about the much needed reforms so every Filipino can enjoy the benefits of a true democracy, leaving no one behind in the world of progress.
