Summary: The National Building Code was formulated and established to achieve maximum safety in building construction and to established standards and requirements for the construction of buildings capable of withstanding earthquake and other calamities, or of surviving these without endue damage. It also considers the best operational and structural means of instituting and carrying out a building construction program and the whole code of conforming with the developmental goals and overall infrastructure program of the community.
