| Summary, etc. | This text is based on a course, successfully given at the University of New Mexico for the last eight years, which is a one-semester introduction to ordinary differential equations for mathematics majors, engineering students, and majors in the physical sciences. It differs from the traditional introductory course in that numerical methods are used throughout as a tool to analyze the qualitative behavior of solutions as well as to approximate them. |
