Most formatting functions take place immediately, resulting in the display of a true print image; additional enhancements are performed during printout. The Mail Merge option adds form letter generation and other capabilities. Originally designed for use under the Command Program Monitor (CP/M), WordStar has since been modified for use on other operating systems.
